    Flaring But Fighting

Hey everybody! If you read my last couple of blog posts, you will know that the lovely people at the DWP decided to take my PIP benefit from me! The stress of losing my PIP benefit has really hit me flaring my pain, fatigue and depression so I’m flaring but fighting! I have been really suffering with pain especially in my shoulders and arms, and that horrible dull ache in the back of my neck is back! That lovely pain is what triggers a migraine after a while so I am really hoping meditating more and trying to keep moving will help. I feel a little like a zombie at…

    Adventures, Hobbies and Flare Ups

Hey everybody! Wow this week has been very out of the ordinary, and I kind of feel like a fish out of water, or like the ground isn’t quite right beneath me. Its just been adventures, hobbies and flare ups and not enough rest and quiet for me to cope! On Tuesday my husband had to go to a meeting in London, and while he was looking up how to get there he realised he would be passing one of my best friends houses on the way. Louise is one of my oldest and best friends and she lives in the outskirts of London, because of this and we both…

    Let’s talk about PIP

Hey everybody! Wow this weekend has been full of tears, panic attacks, and worry…so lets talk about PIP…. If you have been reading my blog for a while you will know that recently I was called for reassessment for both of my disability benefits. I was awarded my ESA after going for reassessment and met all the requirements because I am legitimately disabled and have been for some years. However, on Saturday I got a letter stating that they were stopping my PIP benefit completely this month. Now I want to explain that the person who came to our house to assess me was not the person who made the…

    Frustration with Fatigue

Hey everybody! So like I mentioned earlier this week, my fatigue has kicked things up a notch and I am really hoping this is just a flare to do with the anaemia I have been put on iron tablets for. This week has been full of frustration with fatigue stopping me doing most things I want to do and when I push through it pushes back! I have started trying to do my physiotherapy exercises every other day, she told me to do them like that so they didn’t make me too tired. Then on the day I do not do that I thought I could do a little cleaning…which…

    Fighting fatigue and gaining confidence

Hey everybody! First of all I am very sorry I did not have a blog post out to you on Friday last week I think things caught up with me. I have been fighting fatigue and gaining confidence two things that shouldn’t go together but this week strangely do! As you know I had a bit of a stressful week with going to two disability benefits reassessments in one week! I really feel as if dealing with that has increased my fatigue to a point where I wake up a lot later in the morning than usual, and spend most of the morning, laying in bed looking more zombie than…

Dealing with a busy and stressful week

Hey everybody! Wow last week was a bit of a nightmare! It was such a busy and stressful week and that is why I didn’t have a blog post on Friday I was so wiped out and I still am! The week before I got letters saying I have to be reassessed for both of my disability benefits. I hate when they do this and if you are in England and unable to work I am sure you can understand why I was so stressed about it. People who are not specialists and doctors, unlike the specialists and doctors who diagnosed us, sit and ask us questions then someone else…

Find The Right Balance Between Your Physical And Mental Health

For a lot of people, the idea of “being healthy” has a very specific meaning. They think of it in terms of being in good shape, eating well, exercising regularly. Now, these things are certainly great things that you can do as a part of being healthy but they kind of present a problem. That problem is that they are more about looking healthy than actually being healthy. The truth is that your health is often something that goes unseen, particularly when it comes to your mental health, something that many people do their best to ignore. With that in mind, here are some things to find a balance between…

The mental health tag on Blue Monday

Hey everybody! So today is the 21st January 2019 and it is known as Blue Monday, a day that is meant to be the most depressing day of the year. I talk about mental health here on my blog so when I saw The Spoonie Mummy did this I thought why not do the mental health tag on Blue Monday? 1. What is your mental health issue? I have chronic depression which started when I was about 14 and generalised anxiety disorder I have always had that 2. Do you have medication and/or therapy? Yes I take antidepressants and I have most of my life, on and off I have…
